Is this really meaningful airline security?

Did you know that at certain airports travellers can only take a carefully selected set of tubes of liquids equivalent to 100 ml on board?I had no idea.Today I had the above tube of hand lotion and the size was 150ml. confiscated.So is the difference in an extra 50ml of hand lotion a threat or not?Instead of focusing on me as a potential threat,the people in charge were looking only at certain items and their size.This has to change if we are to really avoid a major catastrophe.

Should we be concerned?
